**Book Rental and Technology Fees Policy

**Fees - Activity Fee, Technology Fee, and Textbook Rental Fees are included in the cost of tuition.  Textbook usage fees cover the rental costs of most textbooks; however, workbooks, some paperbacks and supplemental electronic materials may require additional fees or purchase.  See the published semester Course Schedule for a schedule of associated costs for specific classes.  Technology Fees are calculated into the cost of tuition.  Students are limited to printing only materials necessary for academic work when using the computer labs for printing.

Book Rental: Book rental is only available to students enrolled in the traditional academic program division and rental fees are calculated into the cost of tuition.  Students must return rental books to the bookstore by the publicized date at the end of the semester.  Failure to do so will result in the student purchasing the book at its retail price.

*During enrollment in the Massage Therapy Certificate Program, students may enroll in up to two additional Lincoln College-Normal academic courses each semester at the current part-time tuition rate ($275/credit hour) for those additional courses.**Student Kit Costs (Books and Supplies) are calculated into the cost of tuition.  Exception: Students must purchase a massage table from an external vendor.***Campus housing is available to students enrolled in the Massage Therapy Program at an additional cost of $4,580 ($1,850 for the fall and spring semesters and $880 for the summer term.)  A $200 housing deposit is also required.

MCC and Massage Therapy Certificate “Over Contract” Clock Hours Policy
While each Midwest College of Cosmetology certificate program and the Massage Therapy Certificate Program is a clock hour program, Lincoln College-Normal converts the clock hour requirements of each program to credit hours for the purposes of establishing tuition at an approximate rate of $41.67 clock hours is equal to 1 credit hour.  Exception:  MCC Instructor Training Certificate)“Over Contract” charges: The following certificate programs at MCC and the Massage Therapy Certificate are clock hour programs requiring a certain number of clock-hours logged within an allotted time period in order to earn the certificate (Cosmetology, 1500 clock hours; Esthetics, 750 clock hours; Massage Therapy, 660 clock hours).  If a student does not complete the above clock-hours in their certificate program in the time allotted, there will be an over-contract charge of $12 per clock hour to make up the necessary amount of hours.  Financial Aid is not available for over-contract hour charges.Note: The Instructor Training Program is not included in the “over-contract” policy nor is it converted to credit hours for the purpose of billing tuition.
